Enterprise Solutions deployed at a Coimbatore, India based textile-manufacturing customer

The customer had sought our expertise in deploying a Enterprise Solution in order to better integrate its mission critical business processes and adequately manage growing business needs.

The solution is right now providing the apparel maker with a cost effective, yet highly integrated business management solution. The solution provides wide range of capabilities such as administration, sales, inventory, manufacturing, reporting etc. and allows seamless functioning of customer's daily business operations.

Earlier the customer was using a combination of several software systems including Microsoft Excel 2000 and Tally (an Accounting software application designed and developed by Tally (India) Pvt. Ltd). The need for change was felt since the previous system was not allowing the customer to respond to dynamic business environment and yield satisfactory results. Customer was facing many issues with their legacy systems, which were proving to be detrimental to its cause. Issues such as operational complexity, monitoring and management of sales efforts, lack of transparency, disparate islands of data and insufficient usage were affecting Customer's normal business functions adversely. Besides, this they didn't have a dedicated IT staff, which could identify and resolve these matters at will.

Customer chose Our Enterprise Solution for a variety of reasons with the most important ones being affordability, user friendliness and rapid deployment aspects of the solution. Among all the modules offered in the solution, Customer has chosen administration, sales opportunities, sales, purchasing, inventory, reporting, and production and service modules for themselves. As far as the hardware is concerned IBM high-end X 206 series servers were used. The Open Source technology based solution relied on MS SQL Server 2005.

Pacific West Corporation deployed BI tools along with the Enterprise solution suite for superior results and added MS Outlook functionality as per Customer's request. The great thing is that the deployment objectives were accomplished very easily and there was little need for major customization.

Currently configured to be used by 45 users and also affecting Customer's second facility at Tirupur, an Industrial town near Coimbatore the solution was deployed in about 45 days. Under the terms of the agreement, Pacific West provided Knowledge Transfer to six of customer’s super-users and end-users and provided support and maintenance services post deployment.
